Lack of computing resources and low energy capacity of Internet of Things devices narrows the list of protection methods that can be implemented on these devices. Physically Unclonable Functions (PUF) can be used as a reliable and resource-less solution for protecting IoT devices. The work considers the mechanism of device authentication in the infrastructure of the Internet of Things, based on physically unclonable functions that are the basis of physical cryptography. For reliable authentication, unique digital identifiers of integrated circuits are used.
