Practical Methods for Self-Testing of IoT Embedded Systems in Advanced Manufacturing

Advanced manufacturing extends the scope of new challenges in validation of the Internet of Things (IoT) based embedded systems that control the manufacturing cells. The paper presents some approaches of self-testing oriented to keep the IoT systems in predictable stable state. The key technology of the discussed self-testing is simulation of the basic functions. The simulator generates some stimuli and compares the responses with some etalon or simulated results.
